| About Cherokee Outdoor Family YMCA Retreat Center Our retreat facility is located on 225 acres on Lake Allatoona, which allows us to offer various retreat programs to our participants, including canoeing, kayaking, hiking, low ropes, climbing, and much more! The YMCA has 7 comfortable bunk-style rooms. Each bunkroom can sleep 11 and is equipped with heat, air conditioning, restrooms with showers, and sitting area. For groups of more than 77 persons, cabins will be added as needed—for up to 100 persons. The Cardwell Manor Bunkhouse is walking distance to the Dining Hall, sports field, climbing wall and waterfront. We have 5 packages to chose from or “Build your own”.
